India under the visionary leadership of PM Modi has promised to hit 500 GW of non-fossil fuel by the end of 2030. In 2014 the installed green energy capacity of India is just only 76.38GW and in just 9 years it reached 172 GW which is more than double.
The clean energy capacity grew sharply by 2.25 times since 2014. Installation of non-fossil fuel capacity in India has increased by 396% in the last 8.5 years. The solar energy capacity of the country has increased by 24.4 times.
India has set a target to reduce the carbon intensity of the nation’s economy by less than 45% by the end of the decade to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.
