Odisha STF Rescued Live Pangolins and arrested two wildlife smugglers near Khadupadar, Koraput. As per the input, STF conducted a raid along with Forest Officials with the help of Koraput Police.
They successfully arrested two criminals and rescued two live pangolins. Wildlife trafficking in Odisha is rising day by day, especially Pangolin trafficking. As the state has more Pangolins than other parts of the country the smuggling case is also at the top. Smugglers used to kill them for their scales and sold them in lakhs of rupees.
STF, with the help of forest & police officials of Koraput, seized/rescued one live pangolin from Ramgiri area of Koraput. Two accused were arrested.

This is a very serious case and needs the earliest possible action to stop the trafficking of Pangolins as their number is decreasing rapidly.
