Chinese Police Trained Squirrels to Detect Drugs
For the first time, China used squirrels instead of dogs as a drug squad. After training they will engage in airports, railway stations, checkpoints, borders, etc to uncover the drugs.
Police in China will train them to detect drugs by smelling the packets. In the first phase, a total of six squirrels are already trained to do this job. Six Eurasian red squirrels are now engaged in logistic warehouses of airports to find out the drugs that may be hidden secretly there.
We also hear about the training of bees to find out the drugs/alcohols but now squirrels also joined in this category as an animal detective. Due to their small size, its is easy for them to search inside small spaces that will help to find out the small or tinny packs.
