Earth completes rotation in less than 24 hours

On 29th July, The Earth sets a record for the shortest day of its history.

It completed its rotation on its axis in 1.59 milliseconds less than 24 hours. This change was detected by the atomic clock.

As per the previous record, the shortest day was 19th JulyUsually it takes 23 hours 56 minutes, and 4.091 seconds.
