A massive renewable energy push is carried out by the Indian Government with big targets.PM Modi promised the world that by 2030 India would hit 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based energy capacity.
In 2014 India can install only 72.22 GW of clean energy which includes both nuclear and hydro energy. But now in 2022, the install capacity is 163.33 GW! almost double that of 2014.
India planned to achieve the COP21 target to get 40% of energy from non-fuel by 2030! But 9 years ahead of schedule India successfully achieved the target.

India jumped from the 7th rank to the 3rd rank In the Renewable Energy country attractive index. India now has the 4th largest installed capacity of renewable energy in the world.
