International tiger day is celebrated on 29th July across the globe.
Why is International Tiger Day celebrated?
As we all know that the tiger population is in danger and maybe it will be considered an endangered species very soon. So to raise a voice for the king of the forest global tiger day is celebrated. The main aim of this day is to pledge to conserve and protect the magnificent animal.
The theme of 2022:
This year’s theme of International tiger day is “India launches Project Tiger to revive the tiger population”.
Why India is special; It is because India is now leading the Tiger Project and the population of tigers in India is rising.That is in 2010-3,200 , 2016- 3,890, 2010-3200, 2016- 3890. Dedicated efforts to provide safe habitats to tigers have helped India become home to 75% of the global tiger population.
