NASA probe is the first spacecraft to ever enter the sun’s atmosphere
WeNASA Spacecraft ‘Touches The Sun’ For The First-Time Ever. The Parker Solar Probe was launched by NASA in 2018, which is the first spacecraft to fly through the outer atmosphere of the Sun.
It flew through the Sun’s upper atmosphere that is ‘Corona’ and sampled some particles and magnetic filed there.
It was launched in 2018 with an ai to make repeated and increasingly closer passes of the Sun.
The spacecraft moves at a speed of over 500,000kmph to avoid heat damage from the closer sun.
In April the Parker Solar Probe flew through the solar atmosphere during the spacecraft’s eighth close approach to the sun, which is known as the corona.
