PM Modi visits Mangrove forests on the sidelines of G-20 Summit in Bali

On 16 th November, 2022 the G-20 Leaders visited the ‘Taman Hutan Raya Ngurah Rai’ Mangrove forests and they also and planted Mangroves at the sidelines of G-20 Summit in Bali.

India has joined the Mangrove Alliance for Climate (MAC), a joint initiative of Indonesia and UAE under the Indonesian G20 Presidency.

Environment Ministry approves Nicobar projects, requiring the felling of 12-20 hectares of mangrove forests.
