Facts about Serengeti National park :
The Serengeti National Park is situated in northern Tanzania. It spreads over an area of 14,763 km2 (5,700 sq mi). It is located in the eastern Mara Region and northeastern Simiyu Region. It was established in 1940.
It was proclaimed a national park in 1951, and designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981.
