Strawberry Cultivation started in Kotia of Koraput District, Odisha

Strawberry cultivation started at Doliamba village in Kotia GP of Patangi block, Koraput district, Odisha.

ITDA, Koraput has undertaken Strawberry farming by involving 3 ST women SHGs at Doliamba village of Kotia GP, Koraput for sustainable livelihood. All households of Doliamba village including 3 Self Help Women SHGs will be benefited from this farming.Image

The Koraput district administration has provided 5 acres of land in Doliamba to cultivate Strawberry.

This new concept has provided the local tribal women a new hope for their livelihood avenues.ITDA team trained the villagers and inspired them to cultivate strawberries. Koraput administration give them technical support and assured them about the marketing after production of strawberries.

This type of livelihood mission is specially made for the people of such backyard areas.

It will help effectively to boost the financial status of the locals by making them self-dependent.

A welcome step towards women empowerment by (Integrated Tribal Development Agency),ITDA.

After a gap of some years finally, they succeed in this project and complete teamwork did their best to make this project a huge success, kudos to the entire team.
