What is Endurance Crater? – Endurance Crater is found near Margaritifier Sinus Quadrangle of Mars. In the year of 2004 Opportunity Rover from SOI 94 visited this area and find out the crater on mars surface.
This crater is made up of aeolian sandstones and the total area is nearly 150 meters in diameter.
History behind the Name :
Scientists named this crater after the ship Endurance, which was sailed to Antarctic through the Weddell Sea.
